Circus La Bulle · Društvo CIK is a Slovenian non-profit organisation working in the field of youth work, non-formal education and international cooperation.
Since its creation, the organisation has been exploring how circus pedagogy, play and experiential learning can become meaningful educational tools for young people and youth workers. Through local initiatives and European projects, we create learning experiences that encourage curiosity, cooperation, creativity and personal growth.
About us
We believe that people learn best when they are actively involved in the process. Learning becomes more meaningful when we experience it ourselves, reflect on it together and discover that making mistakes can be part of learning rather than something to avoid.
Circus is one of the languages we use. Not because our goal is to teach circus, but because it naturally invites trust, communication, persistence and collaboration. Alongside circus pedagogy, we use social games, reflective activities and participatory methods that help groups connect and learn from one another.
We design and facilitate training courses, develop educational resources and collaborate with organisations across Europe through Erasmus+ projects. We also continue to organise workshops and learning activities in our local community.
Over the years, our projects have evolved, but our intention has remained the same: to create learning spaces where people feel safe to explore, encouraged to participate and inspired to continue learning long after the activity has ended.
